Swarnjayanthi Grama Swarozgar Yojana
Programme caters to the needs of families living
below poverty line (BPL). The rural poor living
below poverty line are organised into Self Help
Groups of minimum 10 nos. and maximum 20 nos. each.

The Self Help Group Members after
going through the process of Grading are provided
with Revolving Fund of Rs.25,000 - through Bank
Loan Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- as District Rural
Development Agency (DRDA) share. After receiving
Revolving Fund, the activities of the group are
monitored as to the usage of the funds received
and once again graded. The parameters for the Second
Grading revolves round financial management of the
funds provided. After Second Grading, the successful
groups are provided with Economic Assistance.

For groups the maximum assistance through Subsidy
is 50% of the Project Cost with ceiling of Rs.1.25
lakhs. For individuals other than SC/STs, the maximum
assistance through Subsidy is Rs.7,500/- or 30% of
the Project Cost. For individuals who belong to SC/ST
category, the maximum assistance through Subsidy is
Rs.10,000/- or 50% of the Project Cost.

The allocation for the programme is fixed by the
Government of India and sent to the DRDA's District
directly. The State Government Share is 25% of the
total allocation. The total allocation consists of
10% Revolving Fund Component. |
