The new SGSY Guidelines have relaxed
the norms for Self Help Groups eligible for SGSY
assistance. 30% of the members can be above poverty
line subject to the condition that they will not
form part of the executive committee of the Self
Help Group.

The component wise allocation which
was mandatory in the earlier guidelines have since
been revised with the discretion left to the district
excepting for the 20% allocation earmarked for infra-structure.
