The successful functioning of DSMS
helps to facilitate various other development programmes
implemented in the district especially various programmes
implemented through DRDA. Further the above gesture
also helps numerous poor people from usurious money
lenders. DSMS arranges to supply RR stones, 40mm
Metals, cutstone slabs and Sanitary materials etc
to various poor IAY beneficiaries for construction
of houses on credit. Materials to various departmentally
executed works wherever the works are delayed by
the sponsors of the work. Further the functioning
of DSMS helps to penalise the contractors who either
failed to collect or hesitant to collect adequate
metals by asking DSMS to collect the balance metal
in time and payment for the stone so collected will
be paid later on after deducting from the contractors
bill. This has helped to complete the works early
and with quality. The running of Rural Sanitary
Mart helps to implement total sanitation campaign
in this district.

DSMS also helps to co ordinate with
various other departments such as Revenue Health,
Education, Social welfare and other departments
for the convergence of various benefits to the quarry
women SHGs and other poor people.
