The District supply and marketing
society popularly known as DSMS in Pudukkottai is
a marketing wing of DRDA exclusively created to
facilitate rural swarojgaris under erstwhile IRDP
Scheme. DSMS is a registered society under societies
Registration Act. DSMS Pudukkottai was originally
formed in the year 1994 to assist the IRDP beneficiaries
especially to promote Gem cutting cluster in this
district. However in course of time DSMS has changed
its role and assumed added responsibilities in tune
with the change of scheme, time and requirements.
